In 1996 their lives changed forever - at just six years old, Hannah met Travis. After numerous shared teachers, classes, and teams, Travis tripped Hannah and made her fall for him in 7th grade at the Lockwood School track. There were years of silence until they reunited on New Year’s Eve 2011 through a mutual friend. The two started dating officially on February 25th, 2012. They were grossed out by how fast they fell in love. Years later, living in the same city again, they went for a drive up Beartooth Pass for a special moment on June 7th, 2015. While Hannah was observing the view from over 10,000 feet, Travis got down on one knee and proposed (with the help of the best wing-puppy, Kayak). Travis, nervous about “popping the question”, did not hear an actual response, and instead waited until Hannah put her hand forth before he put the ring on her left hand. The ring, consisting of a Yogo Sapphire from the Heart-of-Montana, united them at the Top-of-Montana, so that no matter where they would end up, they will always be grounded in Montana.
We had the privilege of shooting Travis & Hannah’s rustic, DIY wedding in Billings at Hannah’s family’s residence. Their wedding was filled with so many personal touches ranging from exchanging of notes, DIY deco and games, and the finest craft beer you could imagine! The day was absolutely perfect and we were so honored to capture it for our dear friends!
